Basic Batch Donuts started as a once-a-month pop-up in Boston back in 2017, while Christina was working as a pastry chef in the city. Held just one Saturday a month, the pop-up quickly gained a following—and just as quickly sold out.

Basic Batch Donuts started as a once-a-month pop-up in Boston back in 2017, while Christina was working as a pastry chef in the city. Held just one Saturday a month, the pop-up quickly gained a following—and just as quickly sold out.

After months of selling out time and time again, we knew it was time to grow. On October 24, 2020, we opened the doors to our very first brick-and-mortar shop in Milford, Massachusetts—and we’ve been baking fresh ever since.

Christina and Rob are the proud owners of Basic Batch Donuts. Christina is a graduate of Johnson & Wales University in Denver, CO, where she earned a degree in Baking and Pastry Arts. With a passion for the kitchen and restaurants since the age of 15, she always dreamed of opening her own bakery.

When the pandemic hit, Christina was laid off from her role as a pastry chef in Boston. Rather than let the setback stop them, she and Rob poured their energy and passion into launching their donut shop—right in the middle of a global crisis.

From day one, the outpouring of support from the community has been their biggest source of motivation. It’s what keeps them inspired to show up, create, and grow every single day.
